Adam- what is the purpose of crystals that people wear on necklaces, Mom? Is it some kind of religious symbol?
Me- Well, it seems as logical a spiritual talisman than any other symbol, I guess.
Adam- It’s annoying, though, Mom. God is just such an unfalsifiable hypothesis. You can’t put your head around it, you know?
Me- when’s your anatomy test?
Adam – Stop trying to change the subject, Mom. I’m onto you.
